A difficult birth left Ben with Cerebral Palsy, causing mobility and coordination issues.  Being fortunate to attend a school which championed inclusivity, Ben was encouraged into sport and was entered into a Playground to Podium scheme.  Attending a British Athletics Talent Identification Day was the start of Ben’s wheelchair racing and he has progressed to becoming British Record holder over three distances and won a Bronze medal in the 2014 IPC European Championships. Ben competed in the 2015 World Championships and the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.
